Personality
Personality
Jio Ba is quiet, disciplined and intensely loyal. He speaks far less than many of Duanhe Yang's other warriors and generally communicates through decisive action rather than elaborate declarations.
Beneath that restraint lies the ferocity developed during his isolated childhood. When pushed to his limits, Jio Ba can revert toward the savage mentality that once defined him. This does not erase his intelligence or loyalty; instead, it releases a more brutal style of fighting.
His devotion to Duanhe Yang is particularly strong. She gave him a place among her people when he had effectively lost his humanity, and he responds with unwavering willingness to protect her.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Jio Ba is one of the strongest individual warriors among the mountain tribes. He specializes in dual-wielding swords and combines tremendous speed, agility and physical strength with the unconventional movements characteristic of mountain combat.
His most dangerous state draws upon his former existence as a feral survivor. By allowing those instincts to surface, he becomes more aggressive and unpredictable, attacking with speed and savagery that can overwhelm ordinary soldiers.
Jio Ba also possesses exceptional endurance. He can continue moving and fighting after suffering severe injuries, and his mobility allows him to cross terrain that would significantly hinder conventional soldiers.
Story Role
Story Role
Jio Ba first participates in the struggle to restore Ying Zheng to the Qin throne. During the assault on the royal palace, his strength becomes crucial against enemies that ordinary mountain warriors cannot easily overcome.
His background reveals that he was once the sole survivor of an isolated tribe. After years alone, he had become almost entirely feral before encountering Duanhe Yang. She defeated him and offered him the choice of dying as a beast or joining her people, beginning his transformation into one of her closest warriors.
Jio Ba later accompanies the Mountain Army into Qin's major wars. During the Western Zhao campaign, he becomes central to Duanhe Yang's desperate struggle at Ryouyou, repeatedly risking his life while fighting through the Quanrong forces.
