Jester Galandros

Jester is confident, theatrical, aggressive, and exhilarated by strong opponents. He treats large-scale combat as an opportunity to test both himself and the people facing him.

Behind that flamboyance lies considerable intelligence. Jester quickly analyzes enemy abilities and adapts his barriers for attack, defense, containment, and battlefield control.

His historical ambition extended beyond ordinary defense of the Clover Kingdom. Jester believed expansion and conquest could strengthen the nation, an outlook that eventually contributed to his controversial legacy.

Jester uses Barrier Magic at an exceptionally high level. He creates solid magical barriers that can defend against attacks, imprison targets, form platforms, and become offensive weapons.

His barriers can be shaped into enormous constructs and extended across wide areas. Jester can also combine multiple barriers to attack from several directions, allowing what is normally regarded as a defensive attribute to function aggressively.

As a former Wizard King, he possesses immense mana, excellent physical ability, and extensive combat experience. His control allows him to fight several high-level Magic Knights without relying on a single specialized technique.

Jester is one of three former Wizard Kings brought into Conrad's campaign in Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King. He quickly engages the Clover Kingdom's defenders while Conrad proceeds with the larger plan involving Elsdocia.

Jester becomes particularly involved with Yuno and the forces fighting around him. His barriers force opponents to overcome both exceptional durability and constant changes in battlefield geometry.

Jester is ultimately defeated after Yuno and the other Magic Knights coordinate their attacks against him. His defeat removes one of Conrad's three resurrected Wizard Kings from the battlefield.

Conrad Leto restores Jester as part of his campaign to remake the Clover Kingdom.

Yuno becomes one of Jester's principal opponents and earns his attention through his exceptional Wind and Spirit Magic.

Edward Avalaché and Princia Funnybunny are fellow former Wizard Kings restored alongside Jester.

Asta belongs to the generation of Magic Knights opposing Conrad and the revived Wizard Kings.
