Jango Arisugawa

Jango is dramatic, rebellious and almost uncontrollably enthusiastic about Rush Dueling. After being forbidden from enjoying the game openly, his fixation becomes so intense that he periodically needs to perform the act of drawing a card to calm himself.

He is nevertheless an effective organizer. Jango manages to create an underground Rush Duel scene directly beneath the authority of the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club and disguises his tournament as an innocent musical event.

His exaggerated behavior masks a legitimate grievance. Jango resents having his preferred form of Dueling suppressed and is willing to risk punishment in order to give other students somewhere to play it.

Jango uses an ant-themed Insect Deck. Many of his monsters possess only 100 ATK, deliberately creating the appearance of an extremely weak field before his supporting cards turn their numbers into an advantage.

Antbellion of the Rebellion serves as his ace monster. Cards such as Gi-Ant Revolution and Libanty Flag reinforce the Deck's imagery of small creatures organizing into a larger rebellion.

His greatest non-Dueling skill is organization. Jango establishes and operates the Dark Rush Duel Tournament despite the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club's control over Goha 6th Elementary.

Jango once serves as president of Goha 6th Elementary's Student Council. The Heavy Cavalry Duel Club defeats the council, confiscates its members' cards and removes them from power, leaving Jango deeply affected by losing access to Rush Dueling.

He responds by organizing the Dark Rush Duel Tournament in secret. Yuga Ohdo and his companions discover the event while investigating Goha 6th Elementary, and Jango explains the circumstances behind the school's suppression of Rush Duels.

Jango's resistance provides the visitors with further evidence of how thoroughly the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club controls the school and establishes the dissatisfaction growing among students under that policy.

Asana Mutsuba leads the Heavy Cavalry Duel Club responsible for suppressing the activities of Jango's former student council. Jango's underground tournament directly defies the policy enforced under Asana Mutsuba's leadership.

Lucidien "Luke" Kallister Rush Duels Jango during the underground tournament and experiences his ant-based strategy firsthand.

Yuga Ohdo discovers Jango's tournament while investigating Goha 6th Elementary and learns why its students have been forced to play Rush Duels secretly.
