Ira Gamagoori

Gamagoori is stern, disciplined, honorable, and extraordinarily loyal to Satsuki. He treats Honnouji's rules with absolute seriousness and expects students to obey them regardless of their social rank.

His severity coexists with a protective streak. Gamagoori views discipline as a responsibility rather than merely a means of exercising power, and he repeatedly places himself between danger and people he believes require protection.

He also has pronounced masochistic tendencies incorporated directly into his fighting style. Rather than weakening him, punishment and restraint can increase the power of his Three-Star uniform.

Gamagoori possesses exceptional physical strength and endurance even without a transformed Goku Uniform. His immense size allows him to overpower ordinary opponents through raw strength.

Shackle Regalia initially restrains his body and converts damage inflicted upon him into power. After absorbing sufficient punishment, it transforms into Scourge Regalia, allowing Gamagoori to release that stored energy offensively.

His role as the Elite Four's defensive specialist matches his willingness to endure attacks for Satsuki and his allies. He is capable of surviving enormous punishment while continuing to fight.

Gamagoori appears throughout Ryuuko's early time at Honnouji as the academy's chief disciplinarian. His loyalty to Satsuki places him directly in opposition to Ryuuko's refusal to obey the school's hierarchy.

During the Naturals Election, Gamagoori becomes one of the Elite Four opponents Ryuuko must defeat. His battle demonstrates the unusual mechanics of his Three-Star uniform and the extent of his physical endurance.

When Satsuki launches her rebellion against Ragyou, Gamagoori remains completely loyal to her. After the rebellion fails, he joins the alliance with Nudist Beach and fights alongside Ryuuko against REVOCS and the COVERS.

Satsuki Kiryuuin earned Gamagoori's loyalty before their time together at Honnouji. He regards Satsuki Kiryuuin as the leader he has chosen to serve and repeatedly acts as her shield.

Mako Mankanshoku repeatedly draws out Gamagoori's protective side despite their radically different personalities. The series strongly suggests that Gamagoori develops romantic feelings for her, though they do not formally become a couple.

Ryuuko Matoi begins as a disciplinary problem and later becomes Gamagoori's opponent during the Naturals Election. They eventually fight on the same side against REVOCS.

Nonon Jakuzure, Uzu Sanageyama, and Houka Inumuta are Gamagoori's fellow Elite Four members and closest battlefield comrades.
