Helene Barbary

Helene is sociable enough to participate in group dates with Rebecca and Erika and appears comfortable teasing or judging the men they meet.

She shares Rebecca and Erika's lack of enthusiasm when their dates behave poorly or boast excessively. Unlike Rebecca, whose interactions with Asta become personally important, Helene remains primarily part of the surrounding social group.

The series provides little independent characterization beyond these civilian scenes.

No magic attribute, grimoire, combat spell, or formal magical training has been established for Helene.

She works as a seamstress and is portrayed as an ordinary civilian rather than a Magic Knight. Her narrative function consequently centers on Nairn's everyday life and Rebecca's friendships.

Helene first appears when Erika persuades Rebecca to attend a mixer. Helene joins them while Finral Roulacase arranges for Asta and other Magic Knights to attend.

The evening eventually leads Rebecca and Asta to discover their shared experience of acting as older siblings and caring for younger children, while Helene remains with the rest of the group.

Helene appears again in the anime-original group date held after the Elf Reincarnation crisis. She and Erika end up at a table with Sekke Bronzazza and his friends while Sekke exaggerates his accomplishments during the crisis. The women remain unimpressed.

Rebecca Scarlet is Helene's friend and fellow resident of Nairn.

Erika Sitate is another of Helene's close friends and joins her on the group date.

Asta attends the first mixer and becomes personally close to Rebecca afterward.

Finral Roulacase organizes the first group date involving Helene's group.

Sekke Bronzazza later attends an anime-original mixer with Helene and Erika and fails to impress them with exaggerated stories.
