Rebecca Scarlet

Rebecca is responsible, caring, practical, and initially somewhat guarded around strangers. Her priorities revolve around providing stability for her younger brothers and sisters, and she works despite being only sixteen because the household depends upon her.

She warms to Asta after realizing that he also grew up helping care for younger children without conventional parents. His willingness to intervene when a drunk man harasses her further changes her initial opinion.

Rebecca is also emotionally perceptive. She quickly notices Noelle Silva's feelings toward Asta and recognizes that Noelle can accompany him into dangers Rebecca herself cannot share.

Rebecca has no demonstrated combat magic and is never shown using a magical attribute in the series.

Her established strengths are domestic and practical. She works as a maid, cares for multiple younger siblings, and is regarded as an excellent cook.

Rebecca's role therefore remains civilian, making her perspective on the Magic Knights different from that of the mages who dominate the story.

Rebecca meets Asta during a group date arranged by Finral. Their conversation initially goes poorly, but they bond after discussing their responsibilities as older siblings.

Asta later visits Rebecca's home in Nairn and meets her family. When magical snow causes children throughout the town to wander away, Rebecca discovers that two of her siblings are among those missing.

Asta, Gauche, and Sister Theresa pursue the kidnapped children. After their rescue, Rebecca openly thanks Asta and kisses his cheek, intensifying Noelle's embarrassment over her own feelings.

Rebecca later appears among ordinary citizens who support Asta and the Black Bulls despite the suspicion and prejudice directed toward them.

Asta becomes Rebecca's romantic interest after their group date. She admires his devotion to family and his willingness to protect other people despite lacking conventional magic.

Noelle Silva initially regards Rebecca as a romantic rival because of their mutual feelings for Asta. The two nevertheless cooperate during the Nairn kidnapping incident.

Luca, Marco Scarlet, and Pem are among Rebecca's younger siblings, whom she works to support and protect.

Marie Adlai lives in the same community and spends time with Rebecca's siblings.

Erika Sitate persuades Rebecca to attend the group date where she meets Asta.
