Personality
Personality
Takami is cruel, paranoid, selfish, violent, and deeply resentful of the family circumstances created while he is living as a fugitive.
He repeatedly treats Keigo as a burden rather than a son. Fearing that the child may reveal his location, Takami forbids him from leaving their dilapidated home or speaking to outsiders and physically attacks him for minor perceived disobedience.
He treats Tomie little better. Although her Quirk helps him avoid police detection, he blames her for becoming pregnant and shows little concern for either her mental condition or their son's well-being.
His constant paranoia defines the household. Every outside interaction represents the possibility of arrest, leaving Keigo to grow up with almost no normal contact with other children or society.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Takami possesses an unnamed Quirk associated with feathers.
Small brown feathers are visible along his arms, resembling a much more limited version of the feather traits later expressed through Keigo's Fierce Wings.
Canon does not establish whether Takami can manipulate the feathers, fly, or use them in combat.
His criminal career otherwise depends on theft, evasion, and Tomie's surveillance ability rather than demonstrated superhuman combat skill.
Story Role
Story Role
Takami becomes a fugitive after committing theft and murder. Tomie helps him evade the authorities, and the two live in hiding while raising Keigo.
The family remains isolated because Takami fears that any contact with the outside world could reveal his identity.
Young Keigo grows up fascinated by heroes largely through toys and distant stories while enduring physical and emotional abuse from his father.
Takami is eventually captured by Endeavor after attempting another crime. His arrest forces Tomie and Keigo from their home and leaves them without a source of support.
Keigo subsequently saves numerous people from a high-speed accident using Fierce Wings. The Hero Public Safety Commission notices his ability and offers the family protection in exchange for severing their connection to the Takami identity, beginning the institutional upbringing that transforms Keigo into Hawks.
Relationships
Relationships
Keigo Takami is Takami's son, whom he treats as a burden and repeatedly abuses while hiding from law enforcement.
Tomie Takami is Takami's wife and the person whose surveillance Quirk helps him avoid capture for a time.
Endeavor captures Takami after years of criminal activity, an event that indirectly leads to Keigo's recruitment by the Hero Public Safety Commission.
