Han Ryuu is confident, sarcastic and less formal than many of Feng Ming Wu's other officers. He is willing to joke during military discussions and makes little effort to hide his dislike of Qin despite the temporary alliance.
His humor does not undermine his discipline. When Feng Ming Wu issues orders, Han Ryuu carries them out and shifts his forces according to the larger strategy.

Han Ryuu is an experienced general capable of commanding an independent army. His most distinctive troops are heavily armored cavalry whose equipment covers both riders and mounts.
These troops provide Wei with a durable formation capable of intercepting enemy breakthroughs. During the Juuko battle, Han Ryuu's forces are used to contain rapidly moving Chu troops threatening Wei's headquarters.

Han Ryuu first appears during the War of the Three States, when Wei accepts Qin's proposal for a temporary alliance against Chu.
His army enters the battle under Feng Ming Wu and initially confronts forces associated with Bai Li. As the battle develops, Han Ryuu's troops are redirected to meet a breakthrough by Sen To Un's army.
After Juuko falls, Han Ryuu attends the meeting between Qin and Wei commanders, where his teasing comments emphasize that their cooperation has not erased the rivalry between the two states.
