Gyarike

Gyarike receives little individual characterization, reflecting the deliberately anonymous nature of the Umbra Hands. He follows Bondrewd's commands and performs his role within Ido Front without the extended personal interactions given to members such as Gueira.

His presentation emphasizes professionalism and obedience rather than a distinct personal agenda. Like the other Umbra Hands, he functions within a group whose individual identities have become secondary to Bondrewd's research organization.

Gyarike is a combat-oriented Umbra Hand. His white coat distinguishes him from personnel assigned primarily to other functions, and his equipment is designed for dangerous encounters.

His signature equipment is a flamethrower-like Artifact responsible for the "Ashen" epithet. It allows him to project powerful flames and gives him a ranged offensive capability beyond ordinary delver equipment.

As an Umbra Hand, he is also an experienced delver capable of operating in the Fifth Layer, an environment that demands considerably greater survival ability than the upper reaches of the Abyss.

Gyarike appears as part of Bondrewd's forces at Ido Front, helping establish that the White Whistle's organization consists of specialized personnel rather than Bondrewd acting alone.

The Umbra Hands' relationship with Bondrewd is eventually revealed to extend far beyond ordinary loyalty. Through the Zoaholic, Bondrewd has distributed his consciousness among members of the group, allowing suitable Umbra Hands to serve as vessels through which he can continue acting.

Gyarike's individual history is not substantially explored, and canon does not establish the circumstances under which he originally joined the Umbra Hands.

Bondrewd is Gyarike's commander and the central figure around whom the Umbra Hands operate. The Zoaholic allows Bondrewd's consciousness to exist through members of the organization, fundamentally changing what it means for them to serve him.

Gueira is another named member of the Umbra Hands stationed around Ido Front.
