Giulio Gandini

Giulio is stern, restrained, and unfailingly serious about his responsibilities. His formal manner reflects his work as a butler, but beneath the etiquette is the mentality of a trained soldier who evaluates threats quickly and is willing to use lethal-looking tactics when protecting his objective.

His defining quality is loyalty to Anna Scervino. Service to her is not something he regards as an unwanted obligation; he takes genuine pride in being the person entrusted with her safety and daily care.

He can be abrasive toward strangers and initially has little patience for Izuku Midoriya's interference. Nevertheless, Giulio is pragmatic enough to cooperate when circumstances demonstrate that their goals overlap.

Giulio is a highly trained combatant with military experience. He is an exceptional marksman and uses multiple firearms effectively even while moving at high speed. His tactical instincts include ambushes, deception, use of cover, and exploiting opponents' assumptions.

He is also an expert motorcycle rider and capable mechanic. His prosthetic right arm functions as part of his weapons system, while his artificial eye and leg provide additional practical advantages. The mechanical nature of some of these replacements can also limit the effectiveness of powers that depend on normal biological perception.

Neutralization allows Giulio to temporarily suppress another person's Quirk Factor by touching them with his right arm. After losing that arm, he initially loses access to Neutralization because his Quirk Factor was concentrated there. Anna's Overmodification later spreads and strengthens his Quirk Factor, allowing him to use Neutralization through the rest of his body and increasing its potential dramatically.

Giulio formerly serves in the military before being hired by the head of the Scervino family. His Neutralization Quirk makes him uniquely suited to assisting Anna, whose Overmodification can become dangerous without a means of suppressing it.

The Gollini Family attacks the Scervino household, abducts Anna, and leaves Giulio severely injured, costing him his right eye, right arm, and left leg. He survives, equips himself with prosthetics, and pursues the criminals into Japan.

His search intersects with Izuku and the other heroes as Valdo Gollini uses Anna's power to amplify Alchemy. Giulio's mission eventually shifts from the grim duty he believes Anna's father entrusted to him toward finding a way to save her, and his restored Neutralization becomes crucial to breaking the empowered Alchemy effect.

Anna Scervino is the center of Giulio's life and responsibilities. He is hired specifically because Neutralization can control the dangerous effects surrounding her Quirk, but their relationship develops beyond a simple employer-servant arrangement. Giulio attends to her daily needs and regards protecting her as a duty he willingly embraces.

Izuku Midoriya initially clashes with Giulio because of the butler's secretive and severe approach to recovering Anna. Their shared opposition to the Gollini Family eventually forces cooperation, and Izuku challenges Giulio's assumptions about what must be done to resolve Anna's situation.

Valdo Gollini is Giulio's principal enemy. Valdo's organization destroys the life Giulio had with the Scervino family and exploits Anna's Quirk for his own ambitions.

Deborah Gollini is among the Gollini criminals Giulio confronts. His prosthetic eye gives him an unusual advantage against her perception-based Day Dream Quirk.
