Personality
Personality
Gibran is courageous and dutiful, sharing his brothers' strong sense of justice and commitment to Yamato. Within the family, he occupies the mediating position between the eldest and youngest siblings.
He is also perceptive and makes good use of his head when locating opponents. This gives him a more measured quality than a fighter defined purely by physical aggression.
The Smith brothers remain close outside Keeper work. Their regular habit of visiting a sauna together after their shifts reflects a family relationship that continues beyond their shared profession.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Gibran is an Iron Pole Choujin whose abilities center on physical reinforcement and body manipulation. His Choujin constitution complements the martial arts he has developed through training.
He is particularly skilled with kicks, giving him an effective close-range striking style. His ability to locate enemies also makes him useful when direct observation is difficult.
Like other Choujin, Gibran possesses Raise, allowing him to recover from otherwise fatal injuries.
Story Role
Story Role
Gibran appears among Yamato Mori's larger roster of experienced Keepers as the organization prepares for its campaign against the Tower of Mourning. He fights not because of a personal connection to the Tower but because protecting Yamato is the responsibility to which he and his brothers have committed themselves.
Alongside Viner Smith and Hod Smith, he represents one of the family groups within Yamato Mori's combat force.
The Tower of Mourning operation places the brothers directly in the conflict with Sora's forces. The battle carries severe consequences for the family when Viner is killed, leaving Gibran and Hod to survive their eldest brother.
Relationships
Relationships
Viner Smith is Gibran's older brother and fellow Yamato Mori Keeper. The brothers are extremely close and share both their commitment to Yamato and their routine of visiting the sauna after work. Viner's death during the Tower operation leaves Gibran without his eldest brother.
Hod Smith is Gibran's younger brother. Gibran's position as the middle sibling makes him the mediator between Hod Smith and Viner Smith, while all three serve together as Keepers.
Sora Siruha becomes an enemy of the Yamato Mori force containing the Smith brothers during the Tower of Mourning operation.
