Elda

Elda is caring, patient and deeply concerned for her family. She shares her father's grief over her brother but is more conscious of the emotional damage caused by endlessly pursuing a miracle.

Her willingness to remain beside Frey comes from compassion rather than simple belief in the Leaf of Revival. She recognizes how heavily her brother's loss and her mother's condition have affected him.

Elda is an ordinary human and possesses no Innocence or supernatural abilities.

She has no combat role in the conflict with Akuma and depends on Allen Walker and the other Exorcists when the family's search brings them into supernatural danger.

Elda and Frey encounter Allen Walker and Lavi while searching for the Leaf of Revival. Her family has been devastated by a fire in which her younger brother Jacob was trapped, while her mother subsequently became bedridden.

The supposed resurrection leaves attract people desperate to recover the dead, making the rumor especially dangerous in a world where the Millennium Earl exploits precisely that grief.

Elda's story remains exclusive to the 2006 anime and does not originate in the manga.

Frey is Elda's father and her companion during the search for the Leaf of Revival. Elda worries about how completely his grief has consumed his life.

Jacob is Elda's younger brother. His death in the family home's fire is the reason Elda and Frey become involved in the search for a supposed means of resurrection.
