Eclipse Ophiuchus

Eclipse Ophiuchus initially behaves like a sadistic parody of a nurse. She calls herself a "nasty nurse," delights in making healthy people suffer, and turns examinations, dental work, thermometers, bandages, syringes, and other medical tools into instruments of torment.

She is theatrical and arrogant about her control over Astral Spirytus, repeatedly presenting herself as the realm's administrator. Her habitual nurse persona also includes a distinctive verbal tic derived from the word "nurse."

Her behavior changes dramatically in her true form. The joking medical act disappears and Ophiuchus becomes serious, cryptic, and openly sinister, suggesting that the nurse performance concealed a much more calculating personality.

Eclipse Ophiuchus possesses Sound Magic channeled through an ocarina. Dance of Death lets her manipulate targets within range, including people, magical attacks, surrounding terrain, and natural forces. She can redirect an enemy's attack back toward its user and unleash powerful winds through the same musical control.

Punishment of Death fires rapid beams of magical light from the ocarina, with enough force to drive back high-level opponents.

Her medical arsenal includes oversized thermometers, stethoscopes, tongue depressors, syringes, operating equipment, and other tools. Some function as simple physical weapons while others restrain or torment targets.

In true form, Ophiuchus becomes a massive serpent capable of firing energy blasts, regenerating damaged tissue rapidly, and extending her humanoid arms over great distances.

A specialized organ within her serpentine body maintains the separate dimensions of Astral Spirytus. Damaging that organ can destabilize the twelve worlds and force them to collide.

Eclipse Ophiuchus appears during the anime-original Eclipse Celestial Spirits conflict after the Celestial Spirits' contracts with their summoners are severed.

She confronts Natsu Dragneel, Wendy Marvell, Happy, and Carla inside Astral Spirytus, subjecting them to a succession of bizarre medical attacks while explaining that she controls the realm.

When Leo arrives to perform Liberum, Ophiuchus abandons her nurse persona and reveals her colossal true form.

Ophiuchus is eventually exposed as the central manipulator behind the Eclipse Spirits' actions. She deliberately guides Leo toward Liberum so that the twelve Eclipse Zodiac Spirits can be returned and their life force transferred to the altered Celestial Spirit King.

Natsu defeats Ophiuchus after Lucy, Yukino, and Hisui destroy the Celestial Globe, but the plan proceeds far enough for the Eclipse Celestial Spirit King to absorb the spirits. Natsu later destroys the King's core, restoring Ophiuchus and the other Celestial Spirits to their normal states.

Yukino Agria owns Ophiuchus's Celestial Spirit Key, although their contract is temporarily severed during the Eclipse incident.

Leo becomes the apparent leader of the rebellious Zodiac Spirits, but Ophiuchus secretly manipulates his pursuit of Liberum for her own plan.

Natsu Dragneel becomes Ophiuchus's principal opponent and eventually defeats her Eclipse form.

Happy fights alongside Natsu against Ophiuchus.

Wendy Marvell and Carla are among the first people subjected to Ophiuchus's sadistic medical "treatment."

Lucy Heartfilia helps disrupt Ophiuchus's plan by sealing rebellious spirits and participating in the destruction of the Celestial Globe.

Hisui E. Fiore and Yukino Agria join Lucy in the spell that destroys the Globe and interrupts Liberum Verus.
