Personality
Personality
Death Gatling is strategic, proud, disciplined, and intensely sensitive to the way lower-ranked heroes are overshadowed by S-Class. He believes A- and B-Class heroes perform dangerous work that receives inadequate recognition because the public assumes S-Class heroes are the only professionals who matter.
That resentment influences his decisions around Garou. Rather than asking an S-Class hero to participate, Death Gatling intentionally organizes a team from A- and B-Class because he wants to demonstrate that careful cooperation can overcome an opponent associated with S-Class-level danger.
He remains capable of good battlefield judgment. Death Gatling analyzes escape routes, assigns heroes according to range, and adjusts the formation as Garou begins dismantling the plan.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
Death Gatling is an expert marksman capable of controlling an extremely powerful automatic weapon despite its recoil and weight.
His Gatling gun replaces or incorporates his left arm and fires rounds capable of tearing through trees. Its rate of fire lets him dominate broad areas and prevent ordinary opponents from approaching.
Death Shower increases the firing rate dramatically and empties the weapon's ammunition across a concentrated target zone in moments.
He also carries a Bowie knife as an emergency close-range weapon, though his primary strength remains ranged suppression.
Story Role
Story Role
Death Gatling first participates in the response to Hundred-Eyes Octopus, firing on the monster while helping other heroes withdraw from its attacks.
He later notices the injured Garou following him and begins constructing a plan to capture the Hero Hunter.
Death Gatling assembles Stinger, Smile Man, Chain'n'toad, Wild Horn, Glasses, Shooter, and Gun Gun. Their combined close-, mid-, and long-range abilities initially trap Garou effectively.
Garou eventually adapts to the formation despite being injured and feverish. Death Gatling becomes the last member still fighting and unleashes Death Shower, but Garou uses Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist to deflect the bullets away from both himself and the nearby hut sheltering Tareo.
Garou's observation that an S-Class hero would have changed the outcome hits directly at Death Gatling's insecurity. Death Gatling makes one final close-range attempt before Garou destroys his weapon and defeats him.
