Cob Portaport

Cob has a cheerful disposition and generally approaches his duties without the severity displayed by many senior Magic Knights. His most distinctive conversational habit is repeating words or parts of words while speaking.

He remains dependable when entrusted with strategically important transportation work. His magic often places him outside the direct fighting because other Magic Knights rely on him to establish and maintain routes into otherwise inaccessible locations.

Cob uses Spatial Magic. Unlike spatial mages whose abilities focus on offensive destruction, his established spells emphasize transportation and interference with other spatial techniques.

His portals manifest as large doors, allowing him to move groups of people over considerable distances. This makes him useful to the Wizard King for transporting forces rather than simply individual passengers.

Cob can also interfere with hostile Spatial Magic. During the Royal Knights operation, he jams the enemy's spatial transportation to prevent Valtos and other Eye of the Midnight Sun members from freely returning to their base.

After being released from Ado's possession, Cob retains some of the additional magical power left by the elf.

Cob first becomes prominent during the Royal Knights Selection Exam. He opens portals between the viewing arena and the tournament battlefield and helps demonstrate the interaction between different Spatial Magic spells.

His abilities earn him a place in the Royal Knights. When Mereoleona Vermillion leads the assault on the Eye of the Midnight Sun, Cob opens the way into the floating dungeon in the Gravito Rock Zone and remains outside as logistical support.

When the reincarnation ritual activates, Cob becomes the human vessel of the elf Ado. He remains possessed until the elves are eventually separated from their human hosts.

Julius Novachrono employs Cob as one of his advisers and uses his Spatial Magic to transport large groups of Magic Knights.

Finral Roulacase works with Cob while investigating how different Spatial Magic spells interact.

Mereoleona Vermillion commands Cob during the Royal Knights' assault on the Eye of the Midnight Sun.

Valtos has his Spatial Magic obstructed by Cob during the Royal Knights operation.

Ado is the elf who reincarnates within Cob during the Elf Reincarnation crisis.
