Battikaroa

Battikaroa displays little individual personality beyond aggression. He roars, attacks intruders immediately, and relies on his size and regeneration rather than conversation or elaborate tactics.

He is persistent enough to continue attacking after his body is cracked or partially dispersed. His confidence in regeneration leaves his mask as an exploitable weakness.

Battikaroa’s body is composed of sand. Blades and physical attacks sink into his torso, while damaged areas reconstruct themselves through high-speed regeneration. This restoration continues only while his mask remains unbroken.

He possesses enough strength to knock Renji Abarai and Yasutora Sado over long distances. His jaw can open wide enough to engulf several opponents, and his mouth fires a large red Cero.

Battikaroa’s head and mask are more solid than the rest of his body. Concentrated attacks against that point can prevent his regeneration and destroy him.

Battikaroa emerges while Renji and Sado are clearing hordes of Hollows beneath Las Noches. Renji’s first strike sinks into the creature’s abdomen, forcing Sado to help pull Zabimaru free.

Sado’s La Muerte cracks Battikaroa’s body but initially fails to reach the mask. The two fighters eventually recognize that damaging the sand body accomplishes little and coordinate an attack against his head.

Sado distracts Battikaroa with another La Muerte, allowing Renji to fire Hikotsu Taihō directly into the Hollow’s mask and destroy him.

Renji Abarai and Yasutora Sado are Battikaroa’s opponents and cooperate to overcome his regeneration.

Runuganga is another sand-bodied guardian associated with Las Noches, though no personal relationship between the two is established.

Sōsuke Aizen commands the army to which Battikaroa belongs, but the two never interact directly.
