Badwick

Badwick is irritable, confrontational and deeply resentful when he first returns home. He considers his parents' attachment to their land irrational and cannot understand why they are willing to risk their lives rather than sell it.

His anger is rooted in grief. Badwick's younger brother Max died as a child, and Badwick has spent years blaming his parents, believing their devotion to the farm mattered more to them than their children.

Despite the harsh things he says, Badwick still loves his parents. Once their land is genuinely threatened, his actions demonstrate that the estrangement has not erased his loyalty to them.

Badwick is an ordinary human but is comfortable carrying a pistol and riding a motorcycle. He is physically capable enough to take direct action when Morgan's attempt to seize the farm escalates.

His most important contribution is not a fighting technique but his willingness to carry the property's deed through dangerous circumstances so that his parents' legal claim can be protected.

Badwick appears in the "Little Arcadia" story, where Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson become involved with his parents' struggle to retain an unusually fertile piece of land.

Morgan wants the property and escalates from financial offers to intimidation. Badwick initially pressures his parents to accept the sale, creating the impression that he shares Morgan's practical view of the situation.

Badwick ultimately risks his own life to deliver the deed to the bank and ensure Morgan cannot take the property. His decision reconciles him with the values his parents have been defending, even though the family's grief over Max remains part of their history.

Badwick's Father is one of the farmers refusing to sell the family's land. Badwick's relationship with him has been strained by years of resentment.

Badwick's Mother likewise remains devoted to the family farm despite the danger created by Morgan's attempts to acquire it.

Max is Badwick's younger brother. Max died as a child, and Badwick blamed his parents for the loss because he believed they had placed the land ahead of their children.

Morgan attempts to acquire Badwick's parents' property and becomes the family's principal antagonist.
