Alex Brisbane

Brisbane initially presents himself as knowledgeable, helpful, and concerned about Solomon's disappearance. He readily explains the history of the pyramid and leads Yugi and his companions through the excavation site.

His behavior nevertheless raises suspicions. The circumstances surrounding his meeting with the group are unusually convenient, and the Pharaoh quickly notices that Brisbane happens to appear shortly after their unexpected arrival in India.

Much of Brisbane's unusual behavior during the story is connected to forces beyond his ordinary personality. He has been possessed by the dark half of Alexander the Great, which uses Brisbane's body to manipulate Yugi and the others into completing the trials necessary to reach the pyramid's hidden power.

Brisbane is an archaeologist familiar with the pyramid he explored alongside Solomon. He knows its location, interior passages, traps, and connection to Alexander the Great, making him capable of guiding Yugi's group to the chamber where Solomon vanished.

No supernatural abilities or Capsule Monsters belonging personally to Brisbane are established. The supernatural actions performed through his body are the work of Yami Alexander after the ancient spirit possesses him, rather than powers Brisbane himself naturally possesses.

Brisbane appears after Yugi and his friends become stranded in India. He identifies himself as Solomon's colleague and reveals that the two had been investigating a pyramid associated with Alexander the Great when Solomon mysteriously disappeared.

He guides Yugi, Joey Wheeler, Téa Gardner, and Tristan Taylor into the pyramid. After the others enter the Capsule Monsters world, Brisbane remains behind in the physical structure.

Brisbane is eventually revealed to have become the host of Yami Alexander, the evil half of his ancestor's divided spirit. Yami Alexander arranged events so that Yugi would complete the ancient trials and open the way to the ultimate power hidden inside the pyramid.

After Yugi defeats Yami Alexander, Brisbane is freed from the spirit's control and escapes the collapsing pyramid with the others.

Solomon Muto is Brisbane's archaeological colleague. The two investigate Alexander's pyramid together before Solomon Muto disappears into the Capsule Monsters world.

Yugi Muto meets Brisbane while searching for his grandfather. Brisbane initially assists Yugi Muto by leading him to the pyramid, although his actions are being manipulated by Yami Alexander as part of the plan to obtain the pyramid's hidden power.
