Aki Jakago

Jakago is proud, domineering and accustomed to being obeyed. Aero Biker gives her an effective means of controlling almost any ordinary human, reinforcing her confidence that she can keep Suisou Academy under control.

She is nevertheless an effective president in practical terms. Jakago welcomes transfer students and deals with troublemakers before they can destabilize the school. She is also perceptive; after speaking with Kumagawa, she quickly realizes that he is too dangerous for her to handle casually.

Her confidence has limits. When confronted by someone whose capabilities decisively exceed her own, the commanding persona she uses around ordinary students can break down.

Aero Biker allows Jakago to manipulate oxygen. She can deprive a person of oxygen and cause suffocation, alter oxygen conditions enough to cause oxygen poisoning, and manipulate oxidation.

The oxidation aspect makes conventional weapons unreliable against her. Metal can rapidly corrode, while the ability can also affect organic tissue. Holding one's breath therefore does not provide complete protection against Aero Biker.

Jakago considers the ability especially suited to controlling humans because virtually everyone depends upon oxygen. Its versatility lets her threaten people without requiring direct physical contact.

Jakago's principal story occurs in Good Loser Kumagawa, where she presides over Suisou Academy before Kumagawa's later involvement with Hakoniwa Academy.

She initially appears to be the school's dominant authority, using Aero Biker to maintain control while dealing with new students and troublemakers. Kumagawa's arrival introduces an opponent whose mentality and abilities do not fit the assumptions on which her authority depends.

Jakago eventually learns that Saki Sukinasaki has been manipulating events around her. Her apparent position as Suisou Academy's absolute ruler is therefore less independent than she believes.

Misogi Kumagawa becomes a dangerous disruption to Jakago's control of Suisou Academy. She quickly recognizes that Misogi Kumagawa is not an opponent she can treat like an ordinary troublemaker.

Saki Sukinasaki is closely connected to Jakago's rise as Student Council president. Jakago fails for much of the story to recognize how extensively Saki has manipulated her position and circumstances.

Fude Ezumachi admires Jakago's beauty, although their respective Abnormalities place them in conflict.
