Biography: Takuya Shimizu, also known by stage name Takuya (stylized as TAKUYA∞) is a Japanese vocalist, rapper, guitarist, bassist, pianist, synthesizer, programmer, drummer, lyricist, composer and member of the rock band UVERworld. He was initially born in Osaka Prefecture, but ended up moving to the Shiga Prefecture during his childhood, because his parents wanted to raise a child on land with actual soil and grass.
In the band UVERworld he is in-charge of doing the composition and writing the lyrics of most of their songs, though, he is mainly responsible for the vocals, and as the vocalist, he uses various singing methods such as rap, beatboxing, falsetto, whistling and so on in their songs.
