Yi Xiang

Yi Xiang is hot-blooded, competitive and quick to anger. He dislikes being underestimated and eagerly seeks opportunities to prove himself against famous warriors.

Despite his rough behavior, he is not simply reckless. Yi Xiang takes pride in Chu and develops alongside the other promising officers of his generation. He can cooperate effectively with allies even when their personalities clash with his own.

He is particularly sensitive regarding his sword and his own reputation. Facing a powerful opponent excites rather than intimidates him, and difficult battles often draw out his strongest performances.

Yi Xiang is an exceptional swordsman. His primary weapon is the Bakuya Sword, one of the famed blades associated with ancient swordsmithing legends, and he is capable of using it against fighters far above the level expected of an ordinary thousand-man commander.

His speed, reactions and aggressive swordsmanship allow him to engage elite opponents directly. He can rapidly shift between attacking ordinary soldiers and dueling enemy officers.

Yi Xiang also develops as a battlefield commander rather than remaining purely a duelist. As the wars continue, he rises through Chu's military hierarchy and commands increasingly substantial forces.

Yi Xiang is introduced as part of Chu's younger military generation alongside Bai Li. During the Coalition invasion of Qin, the pair operate beneath Chu's senior commanders and repeatedly encounter Qin's rising officers.

He participates in the fighting at Kankoku Pass and becomes particularly interested in powerful Qin opponents. His ability to clash directly with Teng without immediately being overwhelmed establishes that his martial potential extends far beyond his initial rank.

Yi Xiang continues rising in Chu after the Coalition War, remaining positioned as one of the state's important young commanders for future conflicts with Qin.

Bai Li is Yi Xiang's closest fellow young commander in the Chu army. Their contrasting personalities produce frequent arguments, but they repeatedly fight alongside one another.

Teng becomes one of Yi Xiang's most formidable battlefield opponents during the Coalition War.

Xin belongs to the same rising generation of commanders and represents an enemy counterpart from Qin.

Lin Wa is a senior Chu commander under whom Yi Xiang operates during the Coalition invasion.
