Woman

The woman is fearless enough to treat a powerful demon despite understanding what he is. Her medical work and willingness to confront Raizen directly suggest confidence that contrasts sharply with the terror his presence normally inspires.

She also makes a lasting impression on Raizen through her strength of character. Their encounter is brief in the overall chronology of the series, but it alters his behavior for centuries.

Her characterization comes almost entirely through Raizen's recollection, leaving much of her individual life outside their encounter unexplored.

She is a human rather than a supernatural fighter, but she possesses exceptional medical knowledge. Raizen describes her as capable of treating serious injuries through techniques that are unusual even by the standards of his long life.

She is associated with a line of healers whose methods include consuming poisonous substances and using the resulting properties medicinally. Her skills are sufficient to nurse Raizen back from grave injuries.

No combat abilities or spirit techniques are established for her.

The woman appears through Raizen's account of his distant past. After Raizen is badly wounded while in the Human World, she finds and treats him rather than fleeing from the demon.

Raizen falls in love with her, and the two conceive a child. Before leaving, Raizen resolves that he will not eat another human until he sees her again.

She dies before their reunion, but their child survives and the bloodline continues through human descendants. Centuries later that dormant Mazoku inheritance reaches Yusuke, making the woman one of his distant ancestors.

Raizen refuses to break the promise associated with her even after learning of her death, ultimately spending centuries without eating humans.

Raizen is the demon whom the woman heals and later takes as her lover. Their relationship changes Raizen's life permanently.

Yusuke Urameshi is one of her distant descendants through the child she conceives with Raizen.
