Personality
Personality
U Man is cheerful, eccentric and intensely enthusiastic about fighting. He treats the prospect of confronting powerful generals as entertainment and often appears far less serious than his subordinates expect from their commander.
Beneath that behavior is profound disillusionment. His experiences before arriving at Juuko destroyed the beliefs that once motivated him to fight for his country, leaving him fascinated by warriors who still carry powerful emotional burdens.
Abilities & Powers
Abilities & Powers
U Man possesses extraordinary physical strength. His glaive can sweep through groups of soldiers, and his power is sufficient to exchange direct blows with Meng Wu, whose strength places him among the most formidable warriors in China.
He is also an experienced army commander. Before joining Chu, he defended Beki through repeated wars against larger states and achieved the rank of Great General.
His military experience extends beyond brute force. Although Ju Ko Ou handles much of Juuko's strategy, U Man understands battlefield movement and can effectively command a large independent army.
Story Role
Story Role
U Man originally serves Beki and repeatedly fights to protect it from Chu. After Beki's leadership surrenders, he continues resisting until he discovers that troops from his own former homeland have been incorporated into the Chu forces opposing him. The experience destroys his faith in the cause for which he had fought.
He eventually settles at Juuko alongside other displaced commanders and becomes the city's lord and military leader.
During the Qin-Wei campaign against Juuko, U Man personally confronts Meng Wu. He manages to knock Meng Wu from his horse during their clash, demonstrating strength capable of challenging Qin's foremost powerhouse. After Juuko's headquarters falls, U Man and the remaining field armies withdraw.
