Tenchou

Tenchou is theatrical, opportunistic and enthusiastic about turning retail chaos into entertainment. Faced with customers fighting over a limited number of OWee consoles, he responds by escalating the spectacle instead of simply cancelling the promotion.

He has the instincts of a showman. His competition is structured not merely to determine who receives the consoles but to keep the assembled crowd involved through predictions and games.

Tenchou has no supernatural or combat abilities.

His authority comes from his position as store manager and organizer of the OWee promotion. He controls the remaining stock and establishes the rules governing who receives the right to purchase it.

He also acts as the presenter and referee for the succession of video-game contests.

The Yorozuya arrive in Akihabara after accepting several requests to purchase the newly released Bentendo OWee. Kotarou Katsura, Elizabeth and members of the Shinsengumi are among the enormous crowd seeking the same limited console.

When the doors open, the customers' attempts to secure the machines descend into a brawl. Tenchou intervenes with an alternative solution.

He divides the principal competitors into opposing teams and stages a series of video-game contests, beginning with a dating simulator and continuing through other genres. Customers are asked to back one side, with access to the OWee tied to the result.

Sakata Gintoki, Shimura Shinpachi, Kagura, Kotarou Katsura and Elizabeth compete on one side of Tenchou's OWee promotion.

Isao Kondou, Toushirou Hijikata, Sougo Okita and Sagaru Yamazaki represent the Shinsengumi side of the competition.
