Teddy is detached, self-deprecating and strangely confident despite speaking of himself as disposable. He insists that living as an egoist does not suit him and appears comfortable defining his value through service to a larger team.

That attitude does not translate into humility toward opponents. Teddy confidently approaches Japan before their match and treats his own ability as sufficient evidence that Blue Lock should not expect to defeat England.

His apparent absence of conventional ego makes him difficult for Blue Lock's players to understand. Their football has trained them to search for the personal desire driving an opponent, while Teddy presents himself as someone who actively rejects that framework.

Teddy is an elite dribbler whose rhythm is exceptionally difficult to predict. His body language and changes of direction provide opponents with unreliable information, preventing them from anticipating his next route through conventional defensive reading.

His cut-ins are particularly varied. Rather than possessing only a small number of standard inward routes from the wing, Teddy can transition through numerous patterns, forcing defenders to account for several possible changes of direction at once.

Teddy demonstrates this ability directly against Japan's players before their World Cup match, moving through multiple defenders and forcing even Yoichi Isagi and Rin Itoshi to cooperate in trying to contain him.

He enters Japan's training environment and asks the team to lose its coming match before demonstrating the dribbling ability behind his confidence. His claim that he possesses no ego unsettles players accustomed to understanding football through Ego's framework.

Teddy's appearance establishes England as an ideological challenge as well as a sporting opponent, with its football structured around players accepting externally directed roles rather than constantly pursuing individual dominance.
