Takeru's Grandmother Homura

Takeru's grandmother is caring and attentive. She and her husband take responsibility for their grandson during an exceptionally difficult period of his childhood and continue providing him with a stable home as he grows older.

She pays attention to Takeru's movements and friendships without intruding heavily into his private affairs. When he returns home late or speaks to someone unexpectedly, she notices and asks about it.

Her concern is practical and familial rather than connected to the virtual conflicts surrounding Takeru. She represents the ordinary home life that remains available to him away from LINK VRAINS.

Takeru's grandmother has no established Deck, LINK VRAINS avatar or dueling abilities.

Her role is entirely within the real world. She manages the household with her husband and helps care for Takeru after he comes to live with them.

Takeru's grandmother appears in his memories of the aftermath of the Lost Incident. She and Takeru's Grandfather go to the hospital after their grandson is recovered and subsequently bring him into their home.

Takeru learns from his grandparents that his parents died in an accident while he was missing, leaving the couple responsible for raising him through the years that follow.

In the present, she appears at the family home while Takeru considers what to do about his unresolved past. Kiku Kamishirakawa remains nearby and helps look after the household when Takeru leaves for Den City.

Takeru Homura is her grandson. She helps raise Takeru Homura after the Lost Incident and provides him with a stable home during his recovery.

Takeru's Grandfather is her husband and shares responsibility for caring for Takeru Homura.

Kiku Kamishirakawa is Takeru Homura's childhood friend and remains close to the family. Kiku Kamishirakawa helps look after the grandparents while Takeru Homura is away.
