Svenkin Gatard

Svenkin is flamboyant, vain, and intensely confident in his physical superiority. He openly boasts that his body is simultaneously an ultimate spear and shield, trusting his adaptive Skin Magic to render ordinary attacks meaningless.

He idolizes Vanica and interprets the power she grants him in almost romantic terms. This devotion is one-sided; Vanica treats her Dark Disciples principally as disposable pieces in her battles.

Svenkin enjoys intimidating people he considers weaker but becomes far more serious when an opponent starts bypassing the automatic adjustments of his skin.

Svenkin uses Skin Magic, allowing him to soften or harden his skin at will. Softening absorbs blunt impacts and traps attacking limbs, while hardening turns his body into a powerful defensive surface.

Skin Fort can maximize his defenses, and Svenkin can also reshape his skin into cannon-like formations capable of firing concentrated magical blasts.

As a Dark Disciple, he is a Stage Zero mage and can use up to fifty percent of a devil's power. Vanica's curse also restores severe injuries while her magic remains active.

Svenkin joins Vanica and the other Dark Disciples invading the Heart Kingdom. He separates from the group and defeats Spirit Guardian Smurik before attacking nearby civilians.

Luck Voltia intervenes and repeatedly strikes Svenkin, only for Skin Magic to adjust to the type of attack being used. Luck responds by increasing his speed until Svenkin's adaptive defense cannot change quickly enough.

Luck then layers Mana Method arrays to launch himself through Svenkin's fully hardened defense with True Lightning Magic.

Vanica's curse subsequently restores Svenkin's injuries. When Vanica decides to withdraw with Lolopechka, she detonates the devil power within her Dark Disciples, turning Svenkin into a massive magical explosion.

Vanica Zogratis is Svenkin's commander and the source of the curse-based enhancement that repeatedly restores him.

Luck Voltia becomes Svenkin's principal opponent and defeats his adaptive Skin Magic through extreme speed and True Lightning Magic.

Smurik is the Spirit Guardian Svenkin defeats before Luck arrives.
