Shizuka Haiji

Haiji is generally quiet and composed in the limited scenes in which he appears. He does not display an especially confrontational personality and is usually seen observing or participating alongside the larger group of surviving players.

Because Haiji receives little dialogue, canon does not establish a detailed personal philosophy, motivation or set of interests for him. Assigning more specific personality traits would go beyond what is shown.

Haiji survives both the First and Second Selections as a forward, demonstrating enough overall footballing ability to remain among the project's 35 surviving players.

No specific weapon or named technique has been established for him. His Second Selection performances occur largely outside the main narrative, and his Third Selection match does not provide enough individual material to identify a reliable specialty.

His relatively small 168 cm frame distinguishes him physically from many of Blue Lock's taller forwards, but the series has not explicitly established how he incorporates that build into his play.

Haiji receives his formal introduction when the teams that completed the Second Selection assemble. He belongs to the fourth clear team alongside Nijirou Nanase, Taiga Tsunzaki, Reiji Hiiragi and Akira Endoji.

During the Third Selection, Haiji chooses Team A, led by Rin Itoshi and Ryuusei Shidou. He participates in a tryout match alongside Meguru Bachira and Hajime Nishioka.

Haiji later joins Spain's FC Barcha for the Neo Egoist League. He receives limited competitive opportunities and finishes outside the players who secure progression through the league.

Nijirou Nanase, Taiga Tsunzaki, Reiji Hiiragi and Akira Endoji clear the Second Selection alongside Haiji as the fourth qualifying team.
