Satou

Satou is generally calm and professional, although he often appears put upon when Shura Kirigakure pushes explanatory or administrative work onto him.

He is less flamboyant than many of the academy's instructors. Rather than dominating conversations, Satou typically provides information the students need and allows senior personnel to take command.

His understated reactions also make him a useful contrast to Shura's impulsive style. He may be visibly annoyed by her behavior, but he still carries out the duties required of him.

Satou possesses the Doctor and Dragoon Meisters. His Doctor training qualifies him to treat supernatural injuries and prepare substances used in exorcist medicine.

As a Dragoon, he is trained in firearms and ranged anti-demon combat. The combination allows him to function both as a combatant and as medical support.

His Intelligence Division work additionally requires knowledge of active supernatural threats. Satou frequently briefs other exorcists on incidents, demonstrating familiarity with demon classifications and operational planning.

Satou first appears among the instructors overseeing the Exwire examination, during which the students are secretly evaluated while confronting a genuine demonic threat.

He later provides information during the Kyoto Impure King mission. When Shura assembles the Exwires, Satou explains the circumstances surrounding the theft of the Impure King's Left Eye before the group travels to Kyoto.

Satou also participates in later assignments, including the mission involving the Kraken at Atami. His recurring function is that of an experienced Order operative who supplies the students with mission intelligence and professional support.

Shura Kirigakure frequently delegates explanations and briefing duties to Satou, sometimes to his visible annoyance.
