Sanzou Fudou

Sanzou is unusually willing to help people whose circumstances make them unattractive to ordinary landlords. Taizou Hasegawa's unemployment and lack of money do not stop him from trying to find a suitable home.

His helpfulness is tempered by the realities of his profession. The inexpensive properties available to someone in Hasegawa's position tend to carry extraordinary drawbacks, and Sanzou presents those options as part of the search rather than pretending they are conventional apartments.

He remains persistent even as the apartment hunt becomes increasingly absurd.

Sanzou has no supernatural powers or combat abilities.

His expertise is real estate. He knows Kabukicho's available properties and specializes in finding accommodation for clients with financial or personal circumstances that would normally prevent them from passing a landlord's screening.

His local knowledge allows him to produce options even for someone as chronically unemployed and impoverished as Hasegawa.

Sanzou assists Hasegawa when he needs somewhere to live. The search initially appears hopeful because Sanzou has a reputation for finding housing for virtually anyone.

The apartments he presents, however, come with increasingly serious problems. The sequence turns Hasegawa's housing search into another demonstration of how difficult escaping his MADAO lifestyle has become.

Sakata Gintoki becomes involved in the search alongside Hasegawa, evaluating the strange properties Sanzou has available.

Taizou Hasegawa is Sanzou's client, seeking affordable housing despite his unemployment and financial problems.

Sakata Gintoki accompanies Hasegawa during the apartment search and encounters Sanzou through the job.
