Replica

Replica is calm, analytical and patient. It frequently corrects Yuuma or explains unfamiliar concepts but does so without trying to control him. Its guiding principle is that knowledge can help someone make a decision, but the final choice belongs to the individual.

Its behavior is unusually independent for a Trion Soldier. Replica can hold conversations, evaluate people, express concern and make strategic decisions without receiving detailed instructions.

Replica also cares deeply about Yuuma's emotional welfare. It recognizes that its role extends beyond keeping him physically safe and eventually asks others to help Yuuma find reasons to continue moving forward.

Replica possesses extensive information about the Neighborhood, including data gathered by Yūgo on different nations, Triggers and Trion technology. It can analyze unfamiliar Triggers, measure Trion levels and communicate through smaller copies of itself.

Its most important combat function is supporting Yuuma's Black Trigger. Replica can prepare, multiply and combine the Trigger's seals far more quickly than Yuuma can alone. It can also assist in analyzing other Triggers so their functions can be incorporated into new seals.

Replica can independently use some of the Black Trigger's seals. During the Aftokrator invasion, it analyzes the enemy's Rabbit Trion Soldiers and creates a black Rabbit through the Gate seal, combining that unit with additional seals to strengthen it.

Replica accompanies Yuuma from the beginning of his life in Mikado City, explaining Japanese society when necessary and providing Osamu Mikumo with information about Yuuma's background and the Neighborhood.

Its knowledge becomes strategically important when Border anticipates a large-scale Neighbor attack. Replica supplements Border's limited astronomical data with Yūgo's records of the Neighborhood, helping identify Aftokrator as one of the nations capable of approaching Earth.

During the Large-Scale Invasion, Replica is severely damaged but uses a remaining portion of itself to infiltrate Aftokrator's expedition ship with Osamu's help. It forces the vessel to initiate its return, ending the invasion, but is carried away with the departing ship and separated from Yuuma.

Yuuma Kuga is the person Replica was created to protect. Replica serves as his guardian, adviser and combat partner while consistently respecting Yuuma's right to make his own decisions.

Yūgo Kuga created Replica and supplied much of the knowledge about the Neighborhood stored within it.

Osamu Mikumo earns Replica's trust after becoming Yuuma's friend. Replica asks him to help give Yuuma a new purpose and increasingly relies on his judgment.

Shiori Usami works with Replica at Tamakoma Branch and helps Border make use of its extensive Neighborhood data.

Viza recognizes Replica as an unusually sophisticated autonomous Trion Soldier during the Aftokrator invasion.
