Randall Luftair

Randall's normal personality receives limited direct characterization. His position as vice-captain nevertheless indicates that he has earned substantial trust and authority within the Crimson Lions.

Most of his extended dialogue occurs while his body is controlled by an elf spirit, meaning the hostility toward humans and royalty displayed in those scenes should not be treated as Randall's ordinary temperament.

After being restored, Randall resumes service with the Crimson Lions and continues fulfilling his responsibilities without any indication that he shares the elf's hatred.

Randall uses Air Magic, allowing him to manipulate air and pressure.

Air Blockade creates defensive walls or barriers, while Explosive Air Wave Palm and Crushing Air Blast turn compressed air into powerful offensive strikes.

His control is sufficient to disperse Fire Magic and attack multiple experienced Crimson Lions in rapid succession when his mana is amplified.

He can also use Reinforcement Magic, and the anime depicts him using Mana Skin during the squad's volcanic training.

Randall becomes prominent during the Elf Reincarnation crisis. An elf soul possesses his body when Patolli completes the reincarnation spell.

The possessed Randall attacks the Crimson Lion base and defeats several squad members, including experienced senior Magic Knights. Leopold Vermillion refuses to retreat despite being badly outmatched.

Fuegoleon then returns after his long recovery, now accompanied by Salamander. His strengthened Fire and Spirit Magic overwhelms the elf inhabiting Randall.

Once the reincarnation spell is undone, Randall returns to himself and later retains some of the magical power left by his possessor.

He continues serving the Crimson Lions into later conflicts, including the kingdom's preparations for Judgment Day.

Fuegoleon Vermillion is Randall's captain and the leader under whom he normally serves as vice-captain.

Leopold Vermillion is one of Randall's younger squadmates and becomes a principal target of the elf possessing Randall.

Mereoleona Vermillion temporarily commands the Crimson Lions while Fuegoleon is incapacitated and subjects the squad to severe training.

Salamander fights alongside Fuegoleon when the captain confronts the elf occupying Randall.
