Paul is eccentric, mischievous and shameless about his skills as a thief. He demonstrates Steal Hand to Rebecca Bluegarden in a deliberately provocative way and openly acknowledges that thievery is why he was sent to the Labor District.
His comic behavior contrasts with genuine loyalty to Valkyrie. Paul respects her deeply and treats the resistance associated with her name as a serious responsibility.
He is also protective of information concerning Valkyrie and understands that Homura Kougetsu deserves to learn the truth about her mentor.

Steal Hand is an Ether Gear designed around theft. Paul can move an object from another person's possession into his own hand without the victim noticing, provided it is within the ability's short range of approximately ten centimeters.
The ability can also take an object directly from another person's hand, making it useful for removing small equipment or restraints.
Paul uses Steal Hand to remove the explosive collars imposed on prisoners in Sun Jewel's Labor District.

Paul appears in the Labor District after Rebecca, Happy and Pino seek information about Valkyrie. He introduces himself as Valkyrie's disciple and demonstrates the Ether Gear that led to his conviction as a thief.
He possesses a B-Cube containing information about why Valkyrie came to Sun Jewel and becomes an important link between Homura's search and the resistance in the Labor District.
After Valkyrie's final battle, Paul establishes Valkyrie's Army in her honor and helps preserve her as the symbol around which the Labor District's rebellion against Kurenai organizes.
