Nikochan Daiou

Nikochan Daiou is pompous, foolish, stubborn, and convinced of his own royal importance even when circumstances reduce him to scavenging or odd jobs.

He regularly ignores sensible warnings from his servant, often turning manageable situations into disasters.

Despite his arrogance, he is more comic than malicious. His grand plans rarely amount to meaningful villainy, and his biggest problems usually come from his own poor decisions.

Nikochan does not possess notable combat powers in Dragon Ball. He is an alien and has access to extraterrestrial technology, including spacecraft, but his technical judgment is unreliable.

His strange anatomy is natural to his species rather than the result of transformation or mutation.

Nikochan Daiou appears as one of the Penguin Village residents during Goku's pursuit of General Blue.

In Dr. Slump, he and his servant originally become stranded on Earth after Gajira Norimaki eats their spaceship. They repeatedly work or scavenge in the hope of acquiring another craft.

The Dragon Ball anime expands their cameo by showing the pair collecting garbage they mistake for valuables and becoming involved in a police misunderstanding that once again damages their chances of leaving Earth. Reference material describes this expanded anime appearance.

Nikochan's Servant is the king's loyal retainer and the person who most frequently warns him that his ideas are bad.

Gajira Norimaki is responsible in Dr. Slump for eating the spaceship that leaves Nikochan stranded on Earth.

Arale Norimaki is another recurring Penguin Village acquaintance, while Goku briefly enters the same setting during the Dragon Ball crossover.
