Niinobu Kasamatsu

Kasamatsu receives little characterization away from football. He is primarily presented as one of the enormous players whose appearance makes the Taiyou Sphinx's line immediately intimidating.

His role within the team is collective rather than individual: the Pyramid Line's identity depends on its members operating together as a physically imposing unit.

Kasamatsu weighs 138 kg and bench presses 100 kg, giving him the mass needed for Taiyou's power-oriented line play. His 5.9-second 40-yard dash is comparatively slow, but straight-line speed is less important to his role than holding ground and moving defenders.

He is the second-largest member of the Pyramid Line. His build is notably rounder than Banba's, but his size still makes him difficult for smaller linemen to displace.

Taiyou's line uses coordinated blocking and the weight of multiple enormous players rather than depending on a single athlete.

Kasamatsu appears when Deimon encounters the Taiyou Sphinx, whose Pyramid Line presents one of the first major tests for the inexperienced Devil Bats' linemen.

The matchup forces Deimon to confront opponents who possess an overwhelming advantage in body mass. Kasamatsu helps establish the physical obstacle that the Ha-Ha Brothers and Kurita must solve rather than simply outrun.

Mamoru Banba is Kasamatsu's captain and the strongest, most technically accomplished member of the Pyramid Line.

Ryokan Kurita is one of the Deimon linemen Kasamatsu's unit must confront during the Taiyou game.
