Ner-san

Ner-san is initially optimistic enough about Gintama's cinematic prospects to participate in the production with his brother.

His attitude changes as the experience exposes him to the series' chaotic production culture and self-deprecating presentation. Rather than being treated as an untouchable representative of a major film company, he becomes another target of the movie's meta-comedy.

He and his brother operate primarily as a pair, so the film establishes little independent personality separating Ner-san from War-san.

Ner-san has no established combat abilities or supernatural powers.

His significance comes from his position as a fictionalized entertainment-industry representative involved with the production of Gintama's first theatrical film.
