Mori

Mori is shown as a friendly member of Asano's original three-student class. She participates naturally in the relaxed atmosphere of the cram school, where teacher and pupils interact far more personally than students later do under Asano at Kunugigaoka.

Unlike Ikeda, whose enthusiasm and mischievousness receive specific attention, Mori's individual traits are not explored extensively. Her later willingness to reconnect with Asano nevertheless indicates that she remembers their time together positively.

Mori has no established combat or assassination abilities. She is an ordinary student from the period before Asano founded the educational system that eventually produces Class 3-E.

The series does not establish a particular academic or athletic specialty for her comparable to the traits Asano identifies in his other early pupils.

Mori appears primarily in the flashbacks explaining Asano's past. She, Ikeda and Nakai constitute his first small group of students, and their education illustrates his original belief that a teacher should recognize and cultivate each child's individual strengths.

Ikeda's later death profoundly changes Asano's educational philosophy, and the warm environment Mori knew is replaced by his conviction that students must become strong enough to dominate a hostile society.

Years later, after Asano is forced to resign as Kunugigaoka's chairman, Mori and Nakai meet their former teacher while he is packing his belongings. Their appearance reconnects him with the students from his earliest teaching days as he prepares to begin again.

Gakuho Asano is Mori's former teacher. She knew him before the development of Kunugigaoka's ruthless hierarchy and retains enough affection for him to reconnect with him years later.

Rikuto Ikeda is one of Mori's two classmates at Asano's cram school. Ikeda's death becomes the event that transforms their former teacher's outlook on education.

Nakai is Mori's other classmate from the original cram-school group and later accompanies her when they reconnect with Asano.
