Mohawq

Mohawq is serious, disciplined, and difficult to rattle. When the Diamond formation begins collapsing under an unexpected ambush, he immediately tries to restore order rather than panicking.

His loyalty to the Diamond Kingdom is also evident in his reaction to Mariella, whom he regards as a traitor for turning against the country that trained her.

Mohawq uses Earth Magic, allowing him to manipulate earth through spells contained in his grimoire.

The series provides little detail about his individual spell repertoire. His military position suggests that his principal value lies in combining magical ability with command over Diamond Kingdom troops rather than competing directly with the Eight Shining Generals.

Mohawq accompanies Mars, Ladros, and a force of Diamond Kingdom Mage Warriors during the invasion of the Witches' Forest.

Fanzell Kruger, himself a former Diamond Kingdom commander, disrupts the invading formation and draws the soldiers into a coordinated ambush. Mohawq orders the troops to reform, but volleys of magical projectiles strike them from multiple directions.

Mohawq struggles to understand how the attackers are predicting their formations until Mariella reveals herself. Her background as a Diamond Kingdom assassin gives her intimate knowledge of the army's tactics.

Mariella freezes Mohawq against a tree, removing the field commander from the battle while the fighting against the Diamond forces continues.
