Mitsuhide Akechi

Mitsuhide is irritable and argumentative during his appearance at Senbokyo. He angrily pounds on the wall while complaining about Hideyoshi Toyotomi, mirroring Oda Nobunaga's simultaneous complaints about Mitsuhide.

His historical reputation is reduced to a chain of petty grievances shared by the other famous ghosts, fitting Senbokyo's treatment of supposedly dignified historical figures.

He is also opportunistic when faced with Oiwa's power, making his reliability as an ally questionable.

As a ghost, Mitsuhide exists as one of the supernatural Stands inhabiting Senbokyo.

His historical identity implies experience as a samurai commander, but Gintama does not develop an extensive individual combat repertoire for this spectral version.

Together with Nobunaga and Hideyoshi, he can participate in the supernatural conflict surrounding the inn.

Mitsuhide first appears in a neighboring room to Nobunaga. While Nobunaga punches a wall and complains about Mitsuhide, Mitsuhide does the same while complaining about Hideyoshi. Francis Xavier continues the chain from another room.

Later, Sakata Gintoki and Rei decide to rebel against Oiwa and recruit Mitsuhide, Nobunaga and Hideyoshi as supernatural reinforcements.

The historical trio betray Gintoki and Rei when the confrontation begins, leaving their would-be allies exposed to Oiwa.

Oda Nobunaga is Mitsuhide's historical lord and fellow ghost at Senbokyo; their notorious historical conflict is reduced to a running argument.

Hideyoshi Toyotomi is another historical ghost whom Mitsuhide angrily complains about.
