Miki

Miki is cheerful, talkative and unusually expressive. He smiles frequently and takes pride in having learned facial expressions, contrasting sharply with the emotionally flat behavior associated with many early Parasites.

His manner is casual even when preparing to kill. He can converse pleasantly with an opponent while treating murder as a practical task rather than an emotionally significant act.

Miki is also aware of his own limitations. He understands that controlling the composite body requires concentration and that his coordination is inferior to that of the organism's other principal controller.

Miki is one component of a body containing five separate Parasites, distributed through the head and four limbs. His normal position is the right arm, paralleling Migi's location within Shinichi Izumi.

When Miki moves into the head, he can act as the body's central controller. He is capable of coordinating three of the Parasites effectively, producing an organism whose limbs can independently transform into weapons while the host body moves at extraordinary speed.

His coordination is imperfect. Migi notices that the signals coming from the body appear strangely numerous and that its movements occasionally lack the precision expected from a single Parasite. Miki also has difficulty simultaneously controlling the body and transforming the head during intense combat.

Miki operates within the organized Parasite group associated with Takeshi Hirokawa. He is sent after Shinichi and Migi once they become an increasingly serious threat to the organization.

Miki approaches Shinichi openly and demonstrates that he has learned to smile before beginning their confrontation. His unusual signal immediately alerts Migi that they are facing something unlike a conventional Parasite.

Shinichi and Migi exploit Miki's limited coordination by drawing him into the forest and attacking the head while his attention is divided. They successfully decapitate him, but the victory reveals that the body itself contains five Parasites rather than the three Migi initially estimated.

Miki's severed head relocates into the body's right arm while Gotou assumes control of the head. The change immediately transforms the composite body's performance: Gotou synchronizes all five Parasites with far greater precision and overwhelms Shinichi and Migi.

Gotou shares the composite body with Miki and is the other Parasite capable of serving as its primary controller. Gotou's ability to coordinate all five members is substantially superior to Miki's control of three.

Ryouko Tamiya is responsible for the experimentation that produces the multi-Parasite arrangement in which Miki operates.

Shinichi Izumi becomes Miki's target when Hirokawa's organization decides Shinichi must be eliminated.

Migi fights Miki alongside Shinichi and gradually analyzes the unusual structure of his shared body.

Takeshi Hirokawa leads the organization with which Miki and the composite body are associated.
