Megu Tsuyumine

Megu is rough, practical and intolerant of laziness. She is comfortable using physical intimidation to make the Chameleons train, including her wooden sword and motorcycle-based conditioning.

The team fears her despite being composed largely of delinquents themselves. Habashira is no exception, even though his own aggressive reputation normally intimidates the people around him.

Her relationship with Habashira reveals a more trusting side. She addresses him by his given name, Rui, and understands the seriousness beneath his delinquent behavior.

Megu does not play football, but she is an extremely forceful trainer. Her conditioning methods emphasize endurance, toughness and compliance rather than comfort.

She has players run while being towed behind her motorcycle and makes them carry motorcycles during training. These deliberately excessive methods fit Zokugaku's rough culture while forcing otherwise undisciplined players to work.

As manager, she also provides the organizational authority that Habashira cannot always impose through leadership alone.

Megu appears as the managerial counterpart to Zokugaku's gang-like football team. Her presence helps explain how a collection of delinquents can be made to train with enough discipline to compete.

She remains closely associated with Habashira as his frustration with Zokugaku's lack of commitment grows. Unlike teammates who treat football as temporary entertainment, Megu understands how much the sport matters to him.

Rui Habashira is Megu's closest established companion on the Chameleons. She calls Rui Habashira by his given name and shares a level of trust with him that contrasts with the fear she inspires in the rest of the team.

The other Zokugaku players answer to Megu as their manager and trainer, with her harsh conditioning helping keep the delinquent-heavy roster functional.
