Leslie

Leslie is gentle, reserved and creative. Music gives him a way to express feelings that he struggles to communicate directly.

He is initially embarrassed when Isabella hears him singing his composition but eventually shares it with her. Their friendship becomes one of the few genuinely happy parts of Isabella's childhood.

His musical talent distinguishes him from the academically focused abilities emphasized elsewhere at Grace Field.

Leslie possesses no supernatural abilities. His principal talent is music, particularly composing melodies.

In the manga, he sings the melody he created for Isabella. The anime depicts him playing it on a mandolin-like instrument.

The tune becomes important because Isabella remembers it with extraordinary clarity years later.

Leslie appears primarily through flashbacks to Isabella's childhood. He and Isabella grow up together at Grace Field and become close companions.
