Lemon Irvine

Lemon is compassionate, sincere and easily frightened. She can panic dramatically when faced with danger, but her fear does not erase her loyalty. Once she regards someone as a friend, she is reluctant to abandon or betray that person even when doing so would benefit her.

Her most exaggerated behavior concerns Mash Burnedead. After Mash helps her during the entrance examination, Lemon develops an intense crush and rapidly begins imagining a romantic relationship far beyond anything Mash has actually agreed to. Her declared future dream is to become his wife, and she regularly interprets ordinary interactions through that assumption.

Beneath the comedy, Lemon is genuinely attentive to her friends. She supports Mash during the increasingly serious challenges surrounding Easton and is willing to put herself in uncomfortable situations for the people she cares about.

Lemon is a single-line magic user whose personal magic specializes in restraints. Her magic creates magical cuffs and chains that bind a target's limbs, making it particularly suited to capture and immobilization rather than direct destructive combat.

She demonstrates this ability during Easton's entrance examination, where she uses magic to restrain Mash's limbs. The fact that Mash can physically overcome the restraints reflects his abnormal strength rather than the absence of magical function.

Lemon is not presented as one of Easton's elite combatants, and direct fighting is rarely her role within the group. Her binding magic nevertheless has clear practical value when preventing movement is more useful than attacking an opponent.

Lemon meets Mash during the Easton entrance examination after examiner Claude Lucci secretly instructs her to obstruct him. Her family's circumstances make admission important to her, placing her under pressure to cooperate.

When the examination becomes dangerous, Mash helps Lemon rather than abandoning her. The experience changes their relationship, and Lemon subsequently becomes part of his circle at Easton alongside Finn Ames, Lance Crown and Dot Barrett.

As larger conflicts begin surrounding Mash, Lemon remains one of his consistent supporters. She later joins the wider effort to support Mash during the final confrontation with Innocent Zero, alongside many of the allies he accumulated throughout his time at Easton.

Mash Burnedead is Lemon's friend and romantic interest. She falls for him after he helps her during the entrance examination and frequently behaves as though their eventual marriage has already been decided, despite Mash never matching her romantic enthusiasm.

Finn Ames, Lance Crown and Dot Barrett become Lemon's closest companions through their shared friendship with Mash Burnedead.

Claude Lucci is the examiner who pressures Lemon into interfering with Mash Burnedead during Easton's entrance examination.
