Koro

Koro receives limited individual characterization. He participates willingly in the Harusame's criminal operation and is comfortable using violence to protect the organization's interests.

His behavior reflects the ruthlessness of the Harusame cell operating around Edo. The pirates treat human lives as expendable and rely on intimidation, narcotics and force to maintain their business.

Koro is capable of participating in armed Harusame operations and possesses the basic combat ability expected of a space pirate. The story does not establish a distinctive fighting style or named technique for him.

His threat comes primarily from operating as part of a larger organized force. The Harusame possess ships, weapons and enough manpower to conduct criminal activity across planets.

Koro appears during the early Harusame storyline involving Tenseikyou, an illegal drug distributed by the space pirates. The investigation becomes personal when Kagura is taken aboard the Harusame ship.

Sakata Gintoki, Shimura Shinpachi and Kotarou Katsura become involved in confronting the pirates and rescuing Kagura. Koro serves among the Harusame personnel opposing them.

The incident establishes the Harusame as more than a local criminal gang. Their involvement in drug trafficking and interplanetary piracy foreshadows the organization's much greater importance later in the series.

Sakata Gintoki, Shimura Shinpachi and Kotarou Katsura are enemies of Koro during the Harusame incident, attacking the pirate operation while attempting to rescue Kagura.

Kagura becomes a captive of the Harusame group to which Koro belongs, bringing the Yorozuya into direct conflict with the pirates.
