Kishida

Very little of Kishida's personality is established before the central incident occurs. He is presented primarily through his romantic relationships and his place among the group of friends visiting Tropical Land.

His past relationship with Hitomi provides important context for the case, although the circumstances are not revealed until Shinichi reconstructs the crime.

Kishida has no special abilities or investigative skills established in the series. He is an ordinary civilian whose importance comes from his role in the Tropical Land case rather than any professional or physical specialty.

Kishida visits Tropical Land with Aiko, Hitomi, and Reiko. Their group boards the Mystery Coaster together with Shinichi, Ran, and the two men who will later be identified as members of the Black Organization.

While the roller coaster travels through a dark tunnel, Kishida is decapitated. Suspicion initially falls on Aiko after a bloodied knife is discovered among her belongings.

Shinichi proves that Hitomi committed the murder using her pearl necklace, a wire, and a hook attached to the track. The speed of the roller coaster supplied the force needed to kill Kishida.

Aiko is Kishida's girlfriend at the time of the Tropical Land visit.

Reiko is part of the same group of friends visiting Tropical Land.

Shinichi Kudo solves Kishida's murder and identifies Hitomi as the culprit.
