Kankurou Akahoshi

Akahoshi is calm, confident and ambitious. Unlike many Ishiyama delinquents, he does not need constant aggression to assert his status and can acknowledge fighters whose reputations warrant respect.

He nevertheless possesses substantial pride in his own accomplishments. Having already dominated Hiaburi High, he arrives at Ishiyama intending to compete for the top position there as well.

Akahoshi is capable of working with other powerful fighters when circumstances require it, preventing his ambition from reducing him to a purely solitary brawler.

Akahoshi is an accomplished delinquent fighter whose strength allowed him to become the head of Hiaburi High before entering Ishiyama.

He is also a Spellmaster contracted with Mammon, one of the Seven Deadly Sins. The contract grants him access to demonic power far beyond the abilities of an ordinary human delinquent.

His supernatural combat abilities include fire-based power associated with the crimson imagery reflected in his epithet.

Akahoshi arrives after Ishiyama High is rebuilt, joining the new generation of powerful first-year students competing for control of the school.

His reputation as Hiaburi High's former leader immediately establishes him as one of the newcomers worth watching.

Akahoshi becomes one of the Killer Six Elements and is drawn into the larger conflict involving Spellmasters, Solomon Company and demon contractors. His contract with Mammon gives him a role extending well beyond ordinary delinquent rivalry.

Tatsumi Oga is the established Ishiyama fighter Akahoshi initially intends to challenge for supremacy.

Ebian Ichikawa is another former school leader competing within the rebuilt Ishiyama.

Mammon is the demon with whom Akahoshi forms a contract.

Shinobu Takamiya, Youhei Nasu, Ringo Hojo, Ebian Ichikawa and Fuji are the other fighters grouped with Akahoshi among the Killer Six Elements.
