Kangofu

Kangofu is professional, concerned, and understandably bewildered by Goku. She supports the doctor's insistence that the badly injured martial artist remain in bed instead of attempting strenuous training.

Her reactions are those of an ordinary medical professional confronted with abilities that violate everything she understands about recovery, particularly when a Senzu Bean instantly accomplishes what prolonged medical treatment could not.

Kangofu is an ordinary human with conventional nursing training and no supernatural abilities.

Her professional duties include assisting with Goku's hospital care and enforcing the restrictions prescribed by the attending doctor.

She has no knowledge of Senzu Beans before witnessing one in use, making her one of the ordinary civilians through whose reactions Dragon Ball emphasizes how extraordinary the magical healing item is.

Kangofu appears while Goku remains hospitalized after the Saiyan battle. She and the attending doctor repeatedly discourage him from training with his heavily damaged body.

When Yajirobe arrives carrying a newly harvested supply of Senzu Beans, the doctor tries to stop him from feeding the patient. Goku eats one anyway.

The bean instantly restores Goku's broken and injured body. He tears away his casts, changes clothes, leaps from the hospital window, summons the Flying Nimbus, and immediately leaves for Capsule Corporation while the doctor and nurse stare in disbelief.

The Dragon Ball Z anime also adds a comedic interaction in which Master Roshi behaves inappropriately toward the nurse during his hospital visit.

Goku is Kangofu's patient and the source of most of her bewilderment during the hospital sequence.

Yajirobe brings the Senzu Bean that instantly heals Goku despite the hospital staff's objections.

Master Roshi visits Goku during his recovery and interacts with the nurse in anime material.
