Kamenashi

Kamenashi is lecherous and dishonest when caught behaving badly. Kagura catches him filming women in swimsuits, but he insists he was merely recording seaweed despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

His perversion is accompanied by genuine courage. Kamenashi opposes Otohime after learning what she intends to do to Earth and risks himself trying to recruit people capable of stopping her.

He is also prone to ridiculous methods of assessing other people. His Spouzer supposedly measures fighting strength, but he admits to using another scale when evaluating women.

Kamenashi possesses the physical abilities of a Dragon Palace guard but is not among the arc's strongest combatants.

He carries a Spouzer used to assess the abilities of the group. The device becomes useless when confronted with the transformed condition of Gintoki and Katsura.

Kamenashi also knows the Dragon Palace's layout, soldiers and procedures, making his insider knowledge more valuable than his direct fighting ability.

Kamenashi is caught filming women by the Yorozuya. To avoid punishment, he promises to take them to the Dragon Palace.

The journey separates the group, but Kamenashi later reunites with Shinpachi, Tae and Hasegawa. He explains that his invitation was actually intended to bring strong warriors into the Dragon Palace because Otohime plans to use her technology against Earth.

Kamenashi subsequently guides the group through the palace and participates in their resistance against Otohime's forces, despite repeatedly demonstrating that he is far less capable in battle than several of the humans he recruited.

Otohime is Kamenashi's ruler, whom he opposes after learning of her plan for Earth.

Kagura catches Kamenashi secretly filming women and forces his first encounter with the Yorozuya.

Sakata Gintoki, Shimura Shinpachi, Tae Shimura, Kyuubei Yagyuu, Taizou Hasegawa and Kotarou Katsura become the group Kamenashi helps guide against Otohime.
