Juurouta

Juurouta is kind and courteous in his everyday interactions. When Azumi burns his chin while eating ramen, Juurouta simply offers him water, but the gesture means enough to Azumi to inspire an intense romantic attachment.

He also maintains the attractive and attentive demeanor expected of a professional host. His private possessions suggest a more openly sexual side that contrasts with the polished image he presents to customers.

Juurouta is capable of accepting genuine affection even when the circumstances surrounding it become embarrassing.

Juurouta has no supernatural abilities or formal combat techniques.

His professional skills are those of a host: conversation, charm, presentation and providing attentive service to customers at Takamagahara.

Azumi falls for Juurouta after meeting him at a ramen shop and later obtains work at Takamagahara so that he can remain near him.

Sakata Gintoki, Shimura Shinpachi and Kagura dress in women's clothing and attempt to create a situation in which Azumi can rescue Juurouta and impress him.

Their scheme involves forcing Juurouta to consume an enormous quantity of alcohol. Azumi intervenes and takes the burden himself.

Although Azumi later leaves his job at Takamagahara after an embarrassing incident, he and Juurouta ultimately begin dating.

Azumi falls in love with Juurouta after receiving a glass of water from him and later becomes his romantic partner.

Sakata Gintoki, Shimura Shinpachi and Kagura attempt to manipulate circumstances so Azumi can impress Juurouta.
