Iyo Isagi

Iyo is kind-hearted, affectionate and encouraging. She does not need to share Yoichi's obsession with football to recognize that the sport matters deeply to him.

She responds positively when Yoichi receives an invitation to an elite training program, treating the opportunity as something worth pursuing rather than reacting with suspicion or demanding that he choose a safer path.

Iyo's enthusiasm becomes more visible as Yoichi begins succeeding publicly. She takes genuine pride in watching him play even when the technical details of his development are outside her own expertise.

Iyo is not a competitive footballer and has no established footballing abilities.

Her contribution to the story is familial rather than athletic. Together with Issei, she provides Yoichi with consistent emotional support and a home environment that does not interfere with his pursuit of professional football.

Iyo appears at the beginning of the series as Yoichi prepares to enter Blue Lock. Her reaction helps establish that his family accepts the unusual opportunity and trusts him to pursue his own footballing ambition.

She later attends the Blue Lock Eleven's match against Japan U-20 with Issei. Watching Yoichi compete in front of a packed stadium allows the story to show his rapid transformation from the perspective of someone who knew him before Blue Lock.

Her appearances remain limited, but they consistently connect Yoichi's competitive development to the ordinary family life waiting outside the project.

Yoichi Isagi is Iyo's son. She has supported Yoichi Isagi's football ambitions since childhood and takes pride in his progress.

Issei Isagi is Iyo's husband and Yoichi Isagi's father.

Yuu Bachira meets Iyo during the U-20 match and thanks her and Issei Isagi for their son's friendship with Meguru Bachira.
